Ship-​shaped mor­fo­ge­netic design in the ditch of Chios’ Castle

The final paper is directly con­nected, the­o­ret­i­cally and prac­ti­cally to the research pro­gram which was car­ried out at the same period. The asso­ci­ated issue was titled “ Mor­pho­genetic Architecture_​The Paradeigm of Naval Archi­tec­ture” and it includes dig­i­tal mate­r­ial which depicts videos from the devel­op­ing process of mor­pho­genetic, with stim­u­lus from naval archi­tec­tural structures.

The final paper was pre­sented in the sixth Hel­lenic Exhi­bi­tion Archi­tec­tural Project “walls”, in Patra in 2009 and was pub­lished in the rel­e­vant issue in the sec­tion of stu­dents’ par­tic­i­pa­tions p338-​339 as a hon­ored par­tic­i­pa­tion of dis­tin­guished final papers.

I addi­tion, it was selected among final papers from grad­u­ates of the Cyprus and other uni­ver­si­ties abroad which had con­cluded their assign­ments from Jan­u­ary 2007 to Sep­tem­ber 2012, and was pre­sented in a forum at the Fred­er­ick Uni­ver­sity of Cyprus (Octo­ber 2012) with the aim of aca­d­e­mic debate con­cern­ing the Final Paper of the Archi­tect. The cri­te­ria for selec­tion were: accord­ing to inno­va­tion and exper­i­ment­ing, the jus­ti­fied and com­posed course of the paper, the qual­ity of the design­ing and the means of reconstruction.
